THANK YOU! Dr. Robert Davidson Memorial Concert

On August 9, 2008, the family of Dr. Robert Davidson held a Memorial Concert at Portsmouth Middle School celebrating the life and music of the late Dr. Robert Davidson. His family and friends put on a wonderful production of entertaining musical numbers sprinkled with loving stories of Dr. Davidson in between.
In a very generous gesture, the family donated the proceeds to two Portsmouth town organizations, one being the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation (PPEF). In August, PPEF was given a sum of $3000 to fund teachers’ grants. This donation help is allowing PPEF to fund additional grants for this school year.
These additional grants will be announced at PPEF’s Fall Social held at Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth on Thursday, October 23, 2008.
PPEF would like to recognize and thank the Davidson’s Family for their generosity and supporting the mission of promoting and enhancing Portsmouth children’s education.

The memorial benefit concert for Doctor Robert Davidson, on August 9, 2008 was a tremendous success. Through the efforts of the Davidson family, the children of Portsmouth will benefit. Your love of children and values of family, as well as your commitment to the preservation of Glen Park is most commendable. As you requested, the donation will be placed in the grant account and will be used to support educational grants for this academic year.
